You know, despite how you can't have the word "Death" as part of a titled villain in any cartoon show anymore, it's still amazing on how Cartoon Network were still able to make Slade as dangerous as he was in the comics. Instead of a deadly mercanery, Slade becomes a manipulative mastermind with skills and intellegence that exceeds over Robin's. Plus, being voiced by Ron Perlman makes this villain all the more bitter and sweeter.

Slade is one of the best example the cool-and-calm villain type. Villains who have that manner can be really dangerous as they are always the ones with the masterful plans as well as using manipulation as their primary skills. Slade has always been know for controlling others as almost each of the Teen Titans has experienced: Robin, for being forced into become Slade's apprentice, Beast Boy, for allowing Terra to know the heroes' secrets when actually, she was Slade's apprentice all along, and Raven, for almost believing that she can't change her cursed destiny.

Also, Slade is one of the few villains who are so good, that just can't died. I mean, after Slade died at the hands of Terra, his "supposed ghost" haunted Robin and almost killed him, and Slade was able to return from Hell and back as well as being granted with demonic powers. In a way, Slade always has a way to come back on top as seen in his featured episodes.
